The Southern Illinoisan, February 10, 1999 CHRISTOPHER - Charles E. Peters , 84, of 808 S. Jesse St. died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1999, in Fair Acres Nursing Home in Du Quoin. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Gilbert Funeral Home in Christopher, with the Rev. Jerry Aken officiating. Burial will be in Harrison Cemetery in Buckner. Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Peters was a retired office clerk for Hoe Supply. He was born March 24, 1914, in Tilden to Fred and Stella (Monteith) Peters . He married Lorain E. Park on April 15, 1933, in Vienna. She survives. Other survivors include one daughter, Sharon R. Dollus of Du Quoin; and two sisters, Maxine Norris of Sun City, Calif., and Wilma Ryan of Marietta, Ga. One son, Charles Richard Peters , and one daughter, Karen Sue Toigo, preceded him in death.
