    2.   Verna Mae Parkhill of Parrish passed away at 2:00 a.m. Thursday, February 19, 2015 in the Stonebridge Living Center in Benton. She was born May 26, 1934 in Franklin County, Illinois to Audie and Edna (Williams) Wilburn. She married Ray Parkhill on January 25, 1955. They were short 30 days of being married 57 years at the passing of Ray on December 25, 2011. Survivors include her son, Raymond 'Bub" (Tammy) Parkhill of Parrish; daughters, Linda (Mel) Sullivan of West City, Mary (Willie) Huffine of Akin and Teresa Williams of Benton; grandchildren, Terry Parkhill, Amanda Ellis, Jimmy (Blaire) Parkhill, Shawnda Harvey, Callie (Damien) Edwards, Dusty and Jody Huffine and Adam Williams; great grandchildren, Madison Parkhill, Peighton Sullivan, Allison and Austin Bundy, Alexander and Liam Anderson Edwards, Makayla and Macee Ellis, Alexandria, Allison and Steven Harvey, Kylah, Kinsley and Kit Parkhill; extended grandchildren, Ronnie Helsing Annabelle, Zane and Xander Shukites, Chelsea and Paige Sullivan, Ben and Jessie Williams. Also surviving sisters, Margaret Carter, Mary (Robert) Meadows; brothers, Paul Wilburn (Bernice), Don (Brenda) Wilburn, sisters-in-law, Betty Wilburn, Linda (Ray) Ward, Arlene (Eddie) Davis, brothers-in-law, Dean (Louise) Parkhill, Jack Crawford; sisters-in-law, Mary (Charles) Prior, Judy (Byrl) Crawford, Jackie Stubblefield, Pat Dills and Mona Parkhill, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ray, sons, William Clyde and Orville Lee Parkhill, granddaughter, Amy Lyn Parkhill, daughter-in-law, Kathy Parkhill, son-in-law, Ted Williams, brothers, Leon, Robert, Ray and Donald Lee Wilburn and one sister, Mildred Wilburn. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Caldwell Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a good neighbor and babysat many of the children some referred to her as the Queen of Parrish. Published in Daily American News from Feb. 19 to Feb. 20, 2015
