The Southern Illinoisan, October 31, 2003 MULKEYTOWN -- Jeffery Phillips , 44, died at 8:25 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, 2003, in his home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Gilbert Funeral Home in Christopher, with the Rev. John Sneil officiating. Burial will be in Harrison Cemetery in Buckner. Visitation will be after 6 p.m. today in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family and will be accepted by the funeral home. Jeffery was born May 23, 1959, in Christopher, to Luther Phillips and Margaret Swafford. He married Sherry Eubanks Phillips , and she survives. He was employed by Bione Truck Services for 11 years. He was a member of the First Apostolic Church of Zeigler. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Joy and Tommy Beleos of Christopher; a son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Brooke Flood Jr. of Christopher; two grandchildren, Kenda Flood and Jaiden Beleos; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Debbie and Alan Chapman of Coello, Cindy and John Monori of Bucker, Abbey and Danny Hampton of Mulkeytown, Ruby and Paul Williams of Christopher and Rose and David Spears of Benton; and three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Luther Phillips Jr. of Coello, Steve and Trudy Phillips of Valier and Marty and Michelle Phillips of Shelton.
