Nickolas "Beez" D. Beasley, 23, of Zeigler, IL, died Friday, February 13, 2015, as the result of a auto accident between West Frankfort and Zeigler. He was born on December 21, 1991, in Carbondale, IL, the Son of James Monti Logsdon and Jennifer A. (Beasley) Menz. Nickolas was a graduate from Zeigler-Royalton High School. He was employed at M-Class Mine near Akin working in the maintenance department. Nick was a loving son and will be dearly missed by many. He was known for his out going personality and sense of humor. His passion was for music, he was self-taught. Nick found joy in playing his guitar and writing music with his friends. Mr. Beasley was preceded in death by his father, James Monti Logsdon, grandparents, Norma Rose Wilcox and George Albert Beasley. Nickolas is survived by his mother, Jennifer A. (Beasley) Menz, step-father, Bradley J. Menz and companion Lori Overturf, a sister, Sarah Menz and fiancée Lowell Kondoudis, grandparents, Charlotte Menz and James Menz, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 15, 2015 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Vantrease Funeral Home in Zeigler. A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m., Sunday, February 15, 2015at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Vantrease Funeral Home in care of the Nickolas Beasley family and will be accepted at the funeral home.
