Rose Marie Patten, 86, of Benton passed away Monday evening, February 9, 2015 at the StoneBridge Senior Living Center. She was born in St. Joseph, MO on January 12, 1929, the daughter of Harry W. & Marie (Rosenbaum) Jensen. She married Harlan Lee Patten on October 4, 1950, and he preceded her in death on January 25, 1956. Rose was a longtime active and faithful member of the First Christian Church in Benton. She was a retired police dispatcher for the City of Benton. Three things she loved after family was her Benton Firefighters, Benton Rangers & John Wayne. She is survived by her: Son: Keith Patten & wife Marla of Logan Grandchildren: Amy Lampley (Brandon) of Thompsonville Mandy McDonough (Norman Lindsey) of Thompsonville Son: Keith Patten & wife Marla of Logan Grandchildren: Amy Lampley (Brandon) of Thompsonville Mandy McDonough (Norman Lindsey) of Thompsonville Lacy Patten (Dave Gibb) of West Frankfort Anna Lampley (Steven) of Benton Kelly Abney (Alan Abney) of Benton Great-Grandchildren: Shelby Lampley, Baily Lampley, Michael McDonough, Huner McDonough, Zach Lindsey, Haley Lindsey, Hunter Gibb, Kara Abney, Alexis Abney, Makayla Abney, Samantha Lampley, Dakotah Lampley & Douglas Lampley Great-Great-Grandson: Brantley Lindsey Several Nieces & Nephews Several Nieces & Nephews Mrs. Patten was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Son & Daughter-in-law: Steve & Connie Patten and by her Sister& Brother-in-law: Shirley & Archie Batts. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, February 13th at the Morton & Johnston Funeral Home in Benton with Pastor Kurt Sanders officiating. Burial will be in the Shiloh Cemetery in Whittington. Visitation will be after 11:00 A.M. on Friday at the funeral home.
