Harold “Hal” Tennison, Jr., 56, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015. Hal was born on May 24, 1958, in Fairfield, Calif., to Harold Tennison, Sr. and Claudean (Holman) Spry. Hal was an avid outdoorsman. He loved fishing, hunting and collecting Indian artifacts. He was an accomplished taxidermist and a brick mason. Hal was baptized at Second Baptist Church. He was loved and will be missed so much. He is survived by his mother, Claudean Spry and stepfather Bill Spry of Marion; sister, Dana Garavaglia and husband Chuck of Herrin; nephew, Dalton Kennerly of Herrin; and his father, Harold Tennison, Sr. of Ewing and longtime companion, Sheila Kays of Ewing. It was Hal’s wish to be cremated and his ashes will be sprinkled at his favorite fishing spot. Blue Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with arrangements.
