Donna Louise (Webb) Smith, 79, of Benton, IL, died 1:48 a.m., Saturday, February 28, 2015, at Franklin Hospital, Benton, IL. Donna was born on January 8, 1936, in Brocton, IL the daughter of Odes and Maude (Harmon) Wilcoxon. She married husband Melvin Norris Webb on January 29, 1955 and he preceded her in death on October 16, 1996. She then married Bill B. Smith on December 24, 1997 and he preceded her in death on April 19, 2011. Mrs. Smith retired from the Ewing Grade School as a secretary. Donna was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, Benton, IL she was previously a member of the Frisco Baptist Church until it closed and member of the Homemakers. She was the former Franklin County Farm Bureau Wife of the Year, and Chaplin Assistant at the Franklin Hospital, Good Samaritan Hospital and Herrin Hospital. Donna loved her family dearly. She enjoyed quilting and playing cards with her friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Odes and Maude (Harmon) Wilcoxon, first husband, Melvin Norris Webb, second husband, Bill B. Smith, one sister, Elsie Walsh, three brothers, Jim, Bill, and Fred Wilcoxon, two sister-in-laws, Clara Wilcoxon and Christina Rose, and three brother-in-laws, Erskine Lee Webb, Burdette Walsh and Ralph Hunt. Surviving relatives include her children, Darrell N. Webb and wife Norma of Ewing, IL, Douglas Webb and wife Cheryll of Ewing, Daniel Webb and wife Sheri of Crystal Lake, IL, David Webb and wife Shelley of Ewing and Dawn Kovarik and Mike of Benton, IL, 14 grandchildren, Jason Webb and wife Aimee, Aaron Webb and wife Brittania, Dustin Webb, Ryan Webb, Chase Webb, Brittany Webb, Alicia Barnett and husband Josh, Amber Couchman and husband Ryan, Austin Webb, Ali Webb, Steven Kovarik, Amy Kovarik, Emily Kovarik and Kaylee Webb, 13 great-grandchildren, four step-sons, Gordon (Susan Silver) Smith of South Carolina, Don (Sue Anne) Smith of Florida, Ronald (Regina) Smith of Florida and Roger (Penni) Smith of Benton, IL and several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren,a sister, Betty Hunt of Charleston, IL, three sisters-in-law, Joye Wilcoxon of Paris, IL, Mae Wilcoxon, Rantoul, IL, Eula Webb, Terre Haute, IN and a brother-in-law, James G. Smith of Florida. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Monday, March 2, 2015 at Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home, Benton. Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at the funeral home with Rev. Sammy Simmons officiating. Burial will follow services at Thurmond Cemetery, Ewing, IL.
