The Benton Evening News, September 3, 2008 Dana J. Swain , 52, of Christopher passed away at 12:08 a.m. Monday, Sept. 1, 2008 in St. Louis University Hospital. Funeral services for Dana will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 4 in Davis Funeral Chapel (Illinois Route 148 and Park Street Road), with Bro. Marvin Boswell officiating. Dana was born May 14, 1956 in Christopher, the daughter of Harvey Jr. and Mary (Wright) Stalcup. Dana enjoyed working a variety of jobs in her life and was a past security guard at Maytag in Herrin and also worked for the Franklin County ambulance service. Dana is survived by her husband, Bill Swain of Christopher; four daughters, Susan Brown and husband, Gary, of Tennessee, Becky Swain of Valier, Judy Swain of Christopher and Terry Swain of Christopher; one sister, Dee Doolin of Cleburne; seven grandchildren, Brandon, Brianna and Brittney Brown, Dustin and Jared Swain , and Hailey and Jeremy Jr. Conner. Her parents and a brother, Jimmy Stalcup, preceded Dana in death.
