    3. BENTON -- Eber James "Jimmy" McEndree, 65, was called by the Lord on Sunday, March 24, 2013, to enter into his heavenly home for eternal rest. He was one of three children, born Aug. 10, 1947, in Moore's Hospital in Benton to Eber McEndree and Lucille E. (Green) McEndree. Jimmy was one of God's special children. He loved riding with his father to the oil fields. He always would shake hands with everyone. After the death of his parents, he lived with his sister, Cheryl, and brother-in-law, Earnie Glenn, until her death in July 1996. He then had a second home and family with his guardian, Elsia and Warren Curry, who were in-laws to Cheryl. He loved traveling with them to Florida for the winter. His favorite time was sitting in his backyard swing listening to country music on his radio. He lived with the Currys for 12 years with them taking him to West City Church of God, where he loved the music and people. He loved his coffee and pancakes. It was a sad day when he became disabled and had to go to a nursing home. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Melinda McEndree; sister, Cheryl McEndree; and a brother-in-law, Earnie Glenn. All who loved him will miss his face and smile. Private graveside services will be at Masonic and Odd Fellows Cemetery in Benton. Morton and Johnston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
