Thanks Bob, So far my research indicates that the Goode/Barren MOORE family seems to have removed from TN. to So. IL. They were up in JCI for some time, then down to Barren & Goode Twp. Mary (Day) MOORE, widow of James P. MOORE, moved over to Ewing with some of her children. I think the MOORE family in Johnson Co. may be connected as well. My problem is that I have seven (7) James MOORE's & nine (9) Wlliam MOORE's in my file. I am trying to figure out who this lady might be. It is such a sad story. "27 April 1925. Miss Pearl MOORE, who was born in Benton and put in a DuQuoin orphanage and later transferred to a Chicago home, would like to hear from someone connected with her here at Benton. The report from the orphans home at Chicago states that she had a broter, Larynel, and a sister. After William died she married my GGG Grandfather William Penn Bradley in Posey Co. IN. They later moved to IL and first settled in Hamilton Co. and then later moved to Franklin Co. Robert James Benton was also a pastor at Horse Prairie Baptist Church. I attended there from 1958 through the early 1960's. I don't know exactly when he became pastor. She married Bill Cash in 1945 in Johnston City. Bill preceded her in death on Nov. 11, 1995. She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Recer and husband, Rudy, of Litchfield; 11 grandchildren, Travis, Amy, Will, Stacey, Cindy, Paula, Joey, Terry, Jason, Ralphie and Sara; 26 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Alma Gross and husband, Harold, of Ohio; two brothers, Harry Oxford and wife, Jane, of Marion and David Oxford of Benton; and two sisters-in-law, Jackie Oxford of Johnston City and Iolanda Oxford of Johnston City.
