(Oct. 1978 clipped obit, newspaper not known) GERALD ODLE FORMER RESIDENT DIED OCT. 9 Mr. Gerald ODLE, formerly of Warrensburg, died Saturday, October 9, at the General Hospital in Kansas City. Born on June 1, 1931, in Warrensburg, he was the son of Commie ODLE and Hallie (NORMAN) ODLE. He is survived by one brother, Alva ODLE, Warrensburg; two sisters, Dorothy WEALOT/WEALOX? and Clara ODLE of Kansas City. Funeral services were held on Thursday, October 14, at 11:00 a.m. at the Holdren Funeral Home with Elder Floyd HURSH officiating. Music was by Mr. Wayne DUNLAP who sang "Old Rugged Cross" and "The Old, Old Path" accompanied by Mrs. Floyd HURSH on the organ. WARREN Mrs. Ida WARREN, 72, of 508 Buchanan street, Benton, died at her home this morning. A lifetime resident of Franklin County, she had been ill a month. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home with John LEDGERWOOD officiating. The body will be at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Knob Prairie Cemetery east of Benton. Mrs. WARREN was the daughter of Charles and Mary ROSENBERGER KAEMPER. She was a member of the Church of Christ at Benton. Survivors include her husband, Francis WARREN. WARREN, 88, of 417 East Webster Street, Benton, died Wednesday at Franklin Hospital. Mr. WARREN was a lifelong resident of Franklin County, born to Francis Marion and Matilda CARTER WARREN. He was a retired coal miner, last employed in that field at the Franklin County Mine, and also had worked for the former Woodway Food Stores and Walter Blough Hardware firm. He was a member of the Logan Church of God. He is survived by his second wife, Alta SUMMERS WARREN; a son, Charles WARREN, Battle Creek, Mich.; a daughter, Mrs. Eileen SUMMERS, Benton; 17 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and two brothers, Claude WARREN, Benton and Harvey E. WARREN, St. Louis, Mo. He was preceded in death in 1968, of his first wife, Ida Louise KAEMPER WARREN; his parents, two daughters, Thelma WARREN and Ethel CARTER, and three sisters, Norma BRITTON, Ella KAEMPER and Bernie ROBINSON.     3. MULKEYTOWN -- Helen June Hagler Robbins, 80, passed away the morning of Thursday, April 4, 2013, in Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. June was born Dec. 17, 1932, in Franklin County to Bernie A. Hagler and Maud May Nelson. She married Robert Dean Robbins of Sesser on April 28, 1951. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Robert Dean Robbins; along with her parents; two sisters, Ruth Hagler Logan and Mary Hagler Cavaretta; and two brothers, Jack Hagler and Nelson Hagler. Surviving are their five children, Dennis and Cheryl Robbins, Jackie and the late Buster Zimbro, Lisa and George Moore, Todd and Tammy Robbins, and Robert and Janet Robbins; 11 grandchildren: Shad Zimbro, Colby Robbins, Douglas Robbins, Zach Zimbro, Paige (Robbins) Ruffino, Cara Robbins, Chelsea Robbins, Maggie Robbins, Jori Moore, Mallory Robbins, and Emma Robbins; and 11 great-grandchildren, Gavin Zimbro, Tay-Lyn Taylor, Zoe Zimbro, Dayle Ruffino, Reagan Robbins, Jonah Ruffino, Braden Robbins, Keiara Taylor, Brodie Robbins, Grace Ruffino, and Zevon Zimbro. Also surviving is a sister, Betty Borella of Santa Barbara, Calif.; and a brother, Gary Hagler of Zeigler. She retired from Sesser-Valier School District after 21 years of teaching. She spent her retirement traveling with her husband and enjoying time with her family. She and Robert Dean together lived life to the fullest. It was her wish to donate her body to medical research and her remains will be buried next to her husband at a later date. A memorial service will be at Brayfield-Gilbert Funeral Home in Sesser from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 7. He was born in McClure on Aug. 22, 1922, the son of Garrett and Ethel Mae (Palmer) Giles. He married Fern (Sweetin) on Oct. 18, 1941, in Jackson, Mo., and she preceded him in death April 22, 2007. Mr. Giles was a member of Abundant Life United Pentecostal Church in Benton. He owned and operated Giles Refrigeration and Air Conditioning. Mr. Giles served in both the U.S. Navy and Army. He was in the Navy during World War II, and in the Army during the Korean conflict. Mr. Giles is survived by his son, Ron Giles and wife, Mary Ellen ,of Evansville, Ind.; daughter, Linda Bittner and husband, Les, of Benton; three grandsons, Randy Giles and wife, Kimberly, of Sartell, Minn., Robert Giles and wife, Tyanna, of Evansville, Ind., and Richard Giles and wife, Shannyn, of Crossville; one granddaughter, Melinda Sue Williams and husband, Steve, of Ryder, N.D.; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Donald Giles and wife, Mary, of West Frankfort, Bill Giles and wife, Jean, of Chicago; two stepbrothers, Floyd Castleman of West Frankfort and Clyde Castleman.
