    3. Julia (Dynis) Parsons, 89, of West Frankfort, Illinois went home to see her Lord at 6:30 a.m., Sunday, April 7, 2013 at the home of her son along with the rest of the family by her side. She was born June 16, 1923 in West Frankfort, Illinois to Onufer and Fannie Dynis. She graduated from FCHS in the early 1940's. Julia married Harry T. Parsons of Christopher on July 3,1943 in Cape Girardeau, Mo. He preceded her in death on December 2, 2001. Julia took great pride in her family and home. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed. Julia was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Parsons; parents; brothers, Mike and John Dynis; Sisters, Betty Schoen and Mayme Wojcichowski. Survivors include her sons: Duane Parsons of Las Vegas, NV, Bruce (Debra) Parsons of West Frankfort, Stephen Parsons of Manhattan Beach, Ca.; grandson, S. James Parsons Jr. of Jacksonville, NC; sister, Phyllis (Dr. Donald) Szymczak of West Frankfort; several nephews, one niece, and five cousins.     3. Jerry L. Webb Sr., 68, of Christopher, formerly of Herrin, passed away at 5:16 a.m. Sunday, April 7, 2013, at St. Mary’s Health Center in St. Louis, Mo. Jerry was born on May 21, 1944 in Bush to Leslie M. & Lyda Velma (Duke) Webb. He began his career working at Norge in Herrin, but retired from mining, as the buggy driver, after working 20 years at Rend Lake Consol Coal Mine. He was a member of the United Mine Workers Association and of Protestant faith. Jerry was a talented woodworker who specialized in cabinetry and furniture. He enjoyed spending time with his family and will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him. Survivors include- Son- Lee Webb and wife Kerry of Marion Daughter- Danita Webb of Evansville, IN Son- Daniel Webb and wife Jamie of Evansville, IL Five Grandchildren: Brock and Karlee Webb Liam and Ethan Webb Jessica Springer Sister- Judy Ballard and husband Bob of Bush He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister- Betty Mayers. Also remember Rozenenski's Grocery Store it was on the north end of Sesser, about half a block south of the intersection of Route 148 and young street. I believe the cocktail lounge was on the south side of Franklin Street. That used to be Route 183, when I was growing up. It Route 154 now. Mike worked at many different jobs throughout the course of his life. While delivering milk to Rozenski Grocery in Sesser, he met and fell in love with Irene Rozenski. On Nov. 2, 1946, he and Irene were married. The couple then moved to Sesser, where he resided until his death. In the 1950s, he and his brother-in-law, Paul Rozenski, opened and operated their own cocktail lounge in Sesser. In 1958, they built Ses-ser Feed Mill, which they ran for many years. In 1974, he became an employee of Roberts and Schaffer, a mine construction company, working as a millwright. He retired from construction in 1984. Mike enjoyed growing tomatoes in his garden. He was known for his good humor and pleasant demeanor. He could be found enjoying a fish dinner most Fridays at Sesser VFW. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sesser and UMWA. He cherished his wife, loved his family and thoroughly enjoyed his neighbors and friends. Mike loved living in Sesser. He built his home in Sesser in 1953 and lived there throughout his life. He often said that the only move he would ever make would be a move to Maple Hill Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Irene; daughters, Paula Polak (Michael), Patricia Fiorino (close friend, Stephen Shapiro) and Charlotte Conner (David); and six grandchildren, Lisa and Jason Polak, Katie and Connie Fiorino and Brooke and Julie Conner. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Pete, William, Andrew and John; two sisters, Nancy Laridon and Helen Granier; mother-in-law, Anna Rozenski (William); and brother-in-law. They have been very helpful with request from my family. They used to have a guy that recarved old stones but he retired several years ago.     3. SESSER - Mike Wisnoski, 93, died at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2013, in Fairview Nursing Home in Du Quoin. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 9, in Brayfield-Gilbert Funeral Home in Sesser, followed by a funeral mass at 11 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sesser with Fathers Lou Koehr and Peter Balili officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery in Sesser. Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mike was born June 13, 1919, in Coello to Joseph and Tekla Wisnoski, both of whom emigrated from Russia in the early 1900s. He was the youngest of seven children. After graduating from Christopher High School, he attended Chillicothe Business School in Chillicothe, Mo. He worked at Swift & Co. in St. Louis before returning to Coello. Mike worked at many different jobs throughout the course of his life. While delivering milk to Rozenski Grocery in Sesser, he met and fell in love with Irene Rozenski. On Nov. 2, 1946, he and Irene were married. The couple then moved to Sesser, where he resided until his death. In the 1950s, he and his brother-in-law, Paul Rozenski, opened and operated their own cocktail lounge in Sesser. In 1958, they built Ses-ser Feed Mill, which they ran for many years. In 1974, he became an employee of Roberts and Schaffer, a mine construction company, working as a millwright. He retired from construction in 1984. Mike enjoyed growing tomatoes in his garden. He was known for his good humor and pleasant demeanor. He could be found enjoying a fish dinner most Fridays at Sesser VFW. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sesser and UMWA. He cherished his wife, loved his family and thoroughly enjoyed his neighbors and friends. Mike loved living in Sesser. He built his home in Sesser in 1953 and lived there throughout his life. He often said that the only move he would ever make would be a move to Maple Hill Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Irene; daughters, Paula Polak (Michael), Patricia Fiorino (close friend, Stephen Shapiro) and Charlotte Conner (David); and six grandchildren, Lisa and Jason Polak, Katie and Connie Fiorino and Brooke and Julie Conner. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Pete, William, Andrew and John; two sisters, Nancy Laridon and Helen Granier; mother-in-law, Anna Rozenski (William); and brother-in-law. Paul Rozenski (Edna and Lorraine). Memorial donations may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the charity of the donor's choice.
