Sam Hammond is in Piatt County, IL according to mapquest (you show it below in Lake County). I've been looking at a Bolin/Bolen family in the census records this morning. Jeremiah M. "Jerry" Bolin b 28 Sep 1859 d 10 Oct 1941 married Eva Mae Temple 19 Nov 1891 in Hammond, Piatt Co, IL. The reason I started looking was because Jeremiah and wife Eva Mae Temple had a son named Virgil Floyd Bolin b abt 1902. Thought they might be related to your Virgil Boyd Bolen below. I missed reading this when it was sent. Does anyone know more about her father, James Marlow? I don't seem to have him in my Marlow Family History book and I thought we had everyone from Jefferson and nearby counties included in the book.
