    2.   Maxine Jordan, 97, of Columbus, Indiana formerly of West Frankfort passed away at 8:36 p.m., Monday, December 29, 2014 in Millers Merry Manor, Hope. She was born in West Frankfort, IL on May 26, 1917, Maxine was the daughter of Fred and Gladys Wall Melvin. She married Elva Jordan, he preceded her in death on April 21, 1984. Survivors include her son, Rev. Melvin Bucky (Pauline) Jordan of Columbus, IN; daughter, Mary Ellen (Michael) King of Bayville, N.J.; brother, Dean (Karen) Melvin of Cape Coral, FL; sister, Myrldean (Sal) Leone of FL; grandchildren, Timothy (Raye Lynn) Jordan, Sean (YaYa) Jordan, Jeremy King and Kelley King; great grandchildren, Luke Melvin Jordan and Hadley Danielle Jordan. Maxine retired as a school cook for Franklin Schools in West Frankfort, IL. She was an active member of the Antioch United Methodist Church in West Frankfort. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elva Jordan; brothers, Lyndell Melvin, Charles Melvin and Gene Melvin. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. She was born Feb. 10, 1929, in West Frankfort, Ill., to Rocco and Mary (Chiampi) Vallosio. Margaret married George F. Brunner on Sept. 25, 1954, in Peoria. He preceded her in death, on Feb. 9, 1999, in Peoria. She is survived by her daughter, Sue Ellen (Michael) Rogers; her siblings, Pete (Dorothy) Vallosio of Morton, Felicia Vallosio of Peoria and Gloria (Gene) Stookey of Nashville, Tenn.; two granddaughters; four great-granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents and a brother. She was an active member of United Presbyterian Church until she suffered a stroke in 2007. Margaret served the church as a deacon, in the Share Food program and many other activities for the church. Margaret was the church representative for the Friendship House of Christian Service, she was a member of R.S.V.P. and was a South Side Mission quilter.     2.   Mr. Ezra Paul Frailey, formerly of Belle Rive, went home to be with his Father, Lord, and Savior on Friday at 7:15 A.M., January 2, 2015. Mr. Frailey was honored as one of Jefferson County’s Senior Saints in 2001 for his many contributions to church and community. Mr. Frailey was an elder in the Mt. Vernon and Belle Rive Churches of Christ for many years prior to his deteriorating health. His life and memory will be an example of Christ-likeness to all who knew him.  He will be missed, but we know where he is going and we will see him soon.Funeral Service for Mr. Frailey will be held at 10:00 A.M.     2.   James “Jim” Bernard Marquis, 81, of Benton, IL, died at 9:58 p.m., Tuesday, December 30, 2014, surrounded by his family at his residence after a short two week courageous battle of cancer. Mr. Marquis was born on February 23, 1933 in Franklin County, IL the son of Guy and Thelma (Clark) Marquis. He married the former Roberta “Lorene” Flannigan and she preceded him in death. Mr. Marquis was a United States Army Veteran. James retired from Rend Lake as a groundskeeper & mechanic. He enjoyed trail riding at the High Knob Ranch with his friends. James was a loving family man and had a special place in his heart for his pet dog Jake. Surviving relatives include his children, Sheila Breslich and husband Steve of Delavan, WI and Theresa Tomasino of Indianapolis, IN; three grandchildren, Talena Caza, Nick Caza and Lindsey Saunders, three great-grandchildren, Nevaeh, Ashton and Selaeh; a sister, Shirley Marquis, a nephew, Rickey Karroll and wife Star; a great-niece, Lindsey Karroll; dear friends, Carol and Linda Walker and Sharon and Bruce Rogers. Mr. Marquis was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a sister, Phyllis J. Mezo; two brothers, Charles Ray Marquis and Gordon Lee Marquis. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.     2.   Gordon Andrews Cooper, 73, of West Frankfort, formerly of Du Quoin, passed away at 5:30 P.M., Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at the Westside Care Center in West Frankfort, IL. Gordon had been an over-the-road truck driver. He was of the Baptist faith. Gordon was a U. S. Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War. He was born January 31, 1941 at Toronto, Ontario, Canada, the son of Gordon Alexander and Margaret Isabelle (Irwin Andrews) Cooper. He is survived by one daughter - Wanda Cooper of West Frankfort, one son - Denver Zimmerman, Jr. of Elkville, two grandchildren - Brooklynn Cooper of Du Quoin and Bryar Eaton of Murphysboro, and two sisters - Joanne Davies of California and Kathy Barnett of Elkville.
