My husband & I were married at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church aka St. Mary's by the parishioners. It was known as the German Church. It was located at 156 N Washington Ave in Kankakee. The building is still there. The parish was closed in 1989. The Kankakee Journal says in it's 1989 write-up, that the parish began 116 years prior to that date, which would be approximately 1873. I know that the parishioners moved over to St. Patrick's in Kankakee. I would think that the Diocesan Office of Joliet might be able to help you out. Hope this helps. Chris Van Der Karr
