I have checked at the Kankakee County Court House and found no record of the marriage of John Lietz to Mathilda Wollschlager in 1888, yet family lore states that these are the facts. Also there is no record of the birth of their first child, Joseph James in 1890, again facts from family lore. I need help from someone willing to give me newspaper names to contact or churches to contact or provide lookups. Thanks in advance.
