He probably could have served a number of smaller surrounding parishes at that time also. St. James in Irwin and St. John's in L'Erable were both served by the St. Rose priests from time to time. From my research, those priests kept busy and a few of them seem to have been in every parish at one time or another. Hope this helps. Dave King
