this will be a really obscure reply someone else could probably do better with, but I know in my census researches of the late 1800's, part of the census is for a Kankakee hospital. They were enumerated on their own pages in the census and I'm sure a family history center will be able to get you closer. I don't live anywhere near there, don't know if they are still in operation though I would be surprised if they were. Anyway, try the census, then try the Kankakee Valley Genealogical Society at http://www.keynet.net/~lee/k3gensoc.html ... Hope this is of any help at all. > -----Original Message----- > From: DELietz@aol.com [SMTP:DELietz@aol.com] > Sent: Wednesday, October 06, 1999 11:47 AM > To: ILFORD-L@rootsweb.com > Subject: Re: [ILFORD-L] Illinois Eastern Hospital > > In a message dated 10/6/99 12:48:36 PM Central Daylight Time, > davepro88@yahoo.com writes: > > << I am looking to get records from the Illinois Eastern > Hospital for my GGG Grandmother who was admitted in > the 1890's.
