Hi, I am new to this list and am looking for family. I am a descendant of George Bishop who was born in 1823 in Pickaway County, Ohio then moved with his parents and lived most of his childhood and early adult life in Lafayette, Indiana, where he enlisted in Company C. Vol. Inf. 5th Regiment of Indiana, in the Mexican War. He also married someone who is unknown to me. 1859 is when George is married to his second wife, Mary Cady and moved to Iroquois County, Illinois. It is here when he enlisted in the Civil War in August, 1862, in Company D, Vol. Inf. 113th Regt. Does anyone know anything about this family? George and Mary had my ancestor Nora Ida Bishop in Iroquois County, Illinois in 1862? Any direction or help with this family would be appreciated. Happy hunting, Maureen Brook
