I have a lot of information on the Roll family line, but not much on grandfather's immediate family or parents. I really appreciate all the replies have had from the ILFORD-L list. I really don't know exactly where the family lived in Iroquois County, or for how long. Harvey & Martha Jane Cunningham Roll had children: Mary V. Roll m. Ellett Colebank (believe Mary was born before the family came to Illinois) Believe all the other children were born in Illinios, but have no proof. John William Roll m. Martha Colebank (called Uncle Will) Charles Roll (have no further information on him) George Washington Roll (my grandfather) Harvey Lincoln Roll m. Flora ?? (called Uncle Linc) I believe one of the brothers, possibly Harvey Lincoln & wife moved to Roseburg, Oregon sometime after their marriage, possibly after 1888. I remember my father mentioning visiting that family at one time. I have a lot of data on the Roll line descended from Jan Mangalese (translated to Roll), but am sadly lacking on the more resent members of the line. From Jan Mangalese, the line moved from NY, through Pennsylvania, Ohio, possibly Indiana, Illinois, into Kansas and some went farther west. Again, many thanks to all who answered my plea!
