We are looking for someone in Ford Cty. that would be willing to do some look ups for a fee. We are searching to see if our GGrandparents owned land there. If so, would like copy of deed when they purchased and when they sold. Also, we've never found a marriage record, they said they were married in LaSalle Cty. on 1/1/1876, but from experience, that may be incorrect. Also, any birth information on their children. We know they moved to Ford Cty. in 1878-79 and lived there until 1886 when they moved to Nebraska. His name, Gottlieb Steinke (might have used the name Samual), married to Auguste Dumke. First child Fredrick William Steinke born 7/30/1877 in Thawville. Edward Gottlieb Steinke born Oct. 1878, Laura Marie Steinke born 10/20/1879 and christened at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Melvin, Minnie Augusta Steinke born 6/14/1882, Amelia Willimina Steinke born 9/13/1885 then 2 other daughters born in Nebraska.
