Hi! I am trying to find out what Lutheran church in Chicago a Pastor Lambrecht was with in 1892. I obtained a copy of a marriage license for an ancestor which states he was with the German United Evangelical Lutheran _________ Church, but there is no address. I can't read the entire name. The marriage license application is apparently unavailable, which usually contains pertinent information regarding the bride and groom. I wrote to the Cook County Clerk and they find no record of the marriage at all. I have also written to 3 Lutheran churches in Chicago, with no luck, and there are too many Lutheran Churches in Chicago to write to them all. Does anyone have any ideas of where I could check for further information? Is there a Lutheran organization somewhere that might keep a record of names of pastors, etc.? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Susan Morris
