Hello --- What are the rules on using the genealogy records at the old Court House Museum in Watseka? Do all of those records 'belong' to the Iroquois County Gen Society? Or are they public records only housed there under the Gen Soc's protection? Can anyone go in there and research? What are the hours that the public can use those records---the same hours that the old court House Museum is open----or are there other sets of hours? I was in Watseka in 1996 and went into a 'vault' (as I remember it) and used the records housed there. I remember that there were old ledger books piled almost to the ceiling. Where could I get a list of the records that are there? A correspondent of mine with Iroquois County ancestors intends to visit Watseka soon and hopes to research there.
