Hello and apologies. I do not know who the nice person is who wrote regarding the cemetery. We had a lot of computer trouble so have been out of touch for a while. Hope everyone has a Happy Easter. Yes, I had visited the LaBolle and Cook graves at the Pine Hill cemetery in Loda in June of 1999. The whole thing was rather amazing. At the death of my ex-husband in April I realized how important it was to get what little family history we had-written down. Then on a trip to chicago and a planned trip to Amish Country in Arthur, I learned that Loda where my husband's familly farm had been located, was on the way. So we made a stop in Loda. No one seemed to know of the farm of Nellie LaBolle--who had died in the 1960's . We headed off for the cemetery--parked the car and lo and behold--there was this tall monument which we could see a few rows off with LaBolle. It turned out to be the resting place of immigrant ancester Francois LaBolle from France. The next day I got help in town and found other LaBolle and Cook graves in a different place. Then I learned through the censu in Chicago Regional National Archives that Francois was the father of my husbands grandfather (my childrens g.g. grandfather). As some of you may know I recently searched out a Augustine LaBolle in LaSalle and DeKalb Cty and have now proof that Francois came toghether on the ship from France in 1855 under the name LaBolle. This whole thing has been very exciting!! Aloha--Lois
