Herscher has two newspapers, the Herscher Pilot is published once a week out of Herscher 100 S. Main St. (815) 426-2132 and the Herscher Press, another weekly newspaper, which was printed in Dwight, Illinois but now has an office in Herscher, 140 S. Main Street (815) 426-2100. The zip code is 60941. I don't know how long they have been weekly newspapers, but they were when I moved there in 1980. Trinity Lutheran Church is at 255 E. 3rd Street and the number is 426-2262. The Vicarage is at 272 N. Maple, 426-2365. I missed the posting about this information so I hope to have interpreted the response correctly. M.
