Hi all, I'm researching the MUELLERs of Iroquois County. Specifically George MULLER/MUELLER (1861-1915) of Gilman (approx 1891-1898) then Watseka (1900-1915.) He owned the Mueller Monument Works in Watseka, which is now run by the fourth generation of Muellers. George and Margaret (Margarettra) KIRCHNER (12/21/1868-2/4/1960) were married in Gilman, IL July 28, 1891. They had three children: George (Feb. 1892-1/11/1901), Carl Louis (4/1/1895-4/8/1982), and my grandfather, Ernest William ("Ernie") (7/29/1899-1/6/1988), who later became mayor of Watseka. It seems that George emigrated from Baden, Germany in about 1890 and Margaret emigrated from Vockenroth Baden about the same time, but I don't have any details. Other family members may have emigrated to the area, too, since nephews and nieces are mentioned in Margaret's obituary, but I don't have any information yet. Anyone out there have KIRCHNERS or MUELLERS who might be related? Many family documents and photos were discarded in the 1980's after the death of several family members, so I am particularly interested in photos, documents, etc., if anyone comes across them. I'm willing to pay a reasonable amount for these items if they are found.
