In response to this question (with apologies to Carol if she gets two copies): " I am interested in knowing which Nathaniel you have info on. would you tell me his d.o.b. and spouses and parent's? I have Nathaniel Logan Nowlin whose was supposedly born abt 1820 in Sumner co., Tenn. First married to Sarah Reavis and had son named Preston Second married to Susannah Swisher (first married Benjamin Moore) had Isaac Swisher Nowlin and Rachel E. Nowlin. I am from the second line although I have info from the first as well. I am desperate to make a connection here. Anything you have might help. These lines go back so far in Fayette County, and have so many connections, that it might be helpful for you to have a copy of the early census records (1820-1860 for $25) and marriages (1821-1877 for $35),if you don't already have them, both available from: Fayette County Genealogical and Historical Society Box 177 Vandalia, IL 62471-0177. The society has done an excellent job of publishing county records, and their prices are reasonable. Let me know if I can be of any help. Judy Cameron Lanclos Highland, CA
