Dianne and Gary especially -- Guthrie link: Albert Guthrie (1 May 1884 /14 May 1973) m Ottie Evans (14 Ju 1892 / 18 Jun 1957) in 1910 In the 1900 Census, Carson Twp, Albert GUTHRIE "lodger" with John and Zella Bolt. His parents were shown as born in IL, as Albert was. My mother tells me that Albert's father was William Guthrie, his siblings were John, Tom, Ed, and Jennie (Sluder). Diane: This info connects with your William GUTHRIE married to Emily BOAZ, with children Albert, Edmond, John, Mary Jane (m SLUDER), and Thomas. Gary: A semi-connect with your Mary Ann (Polly) GUTHRIE -- in the 1880 IL census, Bowling Green Twp, Fayette County: 1 Jackson GUTHRIE (62) with wife Mary L. (56) were both born in KY as was your Polly. children: Albert (30); Cynthia (22), John F. (22) --- TWINS?? Samuel (21) and a grandson, Willie Fleming (7) Some children born in KY and some in IL. Jackson was born in 1818 which could make him a possible brother to Polly, born 1803 in Cumberland Co, KY. 2 Carlin GUTHRIE (38) with wife Mary (25) were both born in IL. His parents were born in KY and hers in TN -- maybe Jackson & Mary's son?? chidlren: Alice (4) and Oscar (2) Hope this is of some help to you. Sorry I didn't record the page numbers of the census, but Uncle Albert GUTHRIE is a by-marriage uncle. I am working on his children, however, and expect more from his daughter Doris JONES in St.Elmo. His four children are my 1st cousins, one generation removed. Maybe we have some more "connects" out there for these GUTHRIE records? Isn't the net great! I have connected with several of my Fayette County NICHOLS cousins on-line. Let's keep on talking!! Margie Whitney ([email protected])
