This info came from someone else, and I am rechecking it for myself. I did find the marriage date for Cynthia Davis parents: William F DAVIS & Elizabeth LEDBETTER married Oct 23 1845 in Fayette Co IL. Not so, for Cynthia and her husband Louis G MARLOW. I cannot find a marriage recorded for them, or what happened to this family. The information you sent on the 1850 Fayette Co census was a big help to me as I did not have this. So William & Elizabeth's dau Cynthia was born 1858, and named after Henry Davis' wife Cynthia. If I had come across this, I would have assumed that William was the son of Henry & Cynthia Davis; and had named a dau after his mother! Thanks for your response. Wish I could have been of more help.
