Tonya, I am also reseaching family in Fayette County, and have a book on loan from the gen. society Fayette Facts. It list probate record, for Eliza Shelton, Guardianship of minor heir. Daniel Shelton petitioned for the guardianship of Wm H. H. Shelton, minor heir of his mother Eliza. Petition was Aug 20, 1868. Wm H. H. Shelton 9 yrs old in Oct 1868. Daniel was the father. On the first bond were James D Cheshier, George D Day, and James M Manion. There was a reference in the procedings to the sale of the land, but there was no record of the sale in the pack. Daniel Shelton made a report to the court on june 30, 1874. There was a citation to him to report may 30, 1878. This is in Box 147 Pack 1 Hope this helps some. Doris
