Tim Casey, Thank you for your time. I see that I had sent James and Nancy's birth and death dates, but must have forgotten to send their marriage date, sorry. I found their marriage of 11 February 1797 in a Wilkes Co, North Carolina of marriage record book a number of years ago. If you look below or at the site you found this again you will notice that I had put Nancy BRADLEY (born) b.19 May 1769. James WALKER was in Burke Co, NC on 1810 Census. James was in Bond Co, IL by 1821. They both died in Montgomery Co, IL. I have been trying to find other WALKER descendants to compare notes on the line. I have tried to sort out my WALKERs for a long time. I welcome any e-mails from other WALKER descendants. They are quite a large puzzle. I was told one time James WALKER came from near Norfolk, but I haven't found him there yet. No one seems to know where they were born. The death date of her tombstone when read by descendants, showed Nancy to have been that old. I don't know if the stone is still standing. Doris ELAM of the Fayette Co. Genealogy Society would probably know about the tombstone dates. She and her husband Lyle ELAM of Vandalia, IL have been reading the areas tombstones, for a cemetery book for the genealogy society to publish. They are both distant cousins of my dad Clarence HIMES, on his mother Morna Evalene (BESS) HIMES 's side. The James WALKER line was my paternal grandmother Morna's ancestors.
