Hello, Some information I have on Henry Lape. Henry Lape and Margaret Wolf went to Fayette Co., Illinois in 1849 from Fairfield Co., Ohio after the railroad gave them land. They build a log cabin on the land in the Wilberton section. Henry died in July 20, 1851 and the home went to Catherine and after her death in Jan 14, 1868 it went to her son Jeremiah W. Lape. This land is still owned by Forrest Lape children. A new house was builded in 1890. Other Lape's ( David, Henry Jeremiah )talso bought land, all around the Lape farm. On the corner of the farm is the Wilberton Cemetery where many Lapes are burial. Other family are Hammel, Pruett, Brown Conrad, Haynes, Luster and many others. Henry and Margaret children are: Samuel W. Married to Mary Ann Shupe Elizabeth W. Israel Conrad John Wilson Lovina Cole Henry W. Lucy Jane Haizlip Catherine W. Sophia W. Clifton Wills Jeremiah W.
