I believe Fern BROWN's son was born in 1930s. One Hundred years later. He may have been an ancestor of Fern's husband. Does anyone on-line know the name of the widow Fern BROWN's husband? Does anyone know more on the James BROWN & Lucinda BECK families also? I am curious if you are related to Lucinda BECK BROWN? I show her as daughter of Edward BECK & Maryanna FREEMAN. James BROWN might be related to my Larkin BROWN. In the 1850 Fayette County census, I found James M. BROWN (b abt 1824, TN), wife Lucy (b abt 1826, TN), and their daughter Mary A (b abt 1849, IL) living next door to Larkin and Catherine (HELM) BROWN and their children. The census also indicates that Larkin BROWN was born in TN. I'm speculating that a group of families, including HELM, BROWN, DOOLIN/DOOLEN, EVANS, BURKETT (moved to Marion County) and LOVELESS migrated to IL about 1828-1829 from TN, based on the marriages of my HELM families with these lines, and I usually found them living fairly close together in the various census indices.
