    3. Sandy, I would neerd to know some more names and some aproximate dates. I am 61 so the WRIGHT's I went to school west of Vandalia in Shafter Twp Fayette Co, IL Jim, Larry and Kay with would be my 50 to over 60 years old now. I have information of early WRIGHT lines, if you can find names earlier, I could be of more help. My paternal grandmother's aunt Sarah Agnes (BESS) ADAMS WALKER WRIGHT married 1892 Fayette Co, IL James Washburn WRIGHT. He was Sarah's third husband. My paternal grandmother had WRIGHT cousins so the ones I went to school with were distantly related. If I you have any earlier WRIGHT names, I could probably be of help on them. Let me know if you can find names, dates and localites for earlier WRIGHT and I will check for them. Let me know if you have some earlier names to check. I will try to help if I can. I graduated 8th grade from the old one room Browning Gradeschool in Shafter Twp. Fayette Co, ILL. I now live in NM. I do NOT have a WRIGHT surname line, but I have collected a lot of early information on them. I collect all allied surnames information. They give many great clues. My own direct ancestry line is in the HIMES line link of our homepage. http://members.truepath.com/beverly/index.html Beverly (HIMES) BARGER in NM ----- Original Message ----- From: Sandy Bollhorst <sandy@csuol.com> To: <ilroute66@egroups.com> Sent: Saturday, July 22, 2000 5:49 PM Subject: Re: [ILROUTE66] ILROUTE66.......HOW ARE WE DOING? > Hi Beverly > just a quick note to ask a question about your Wright connections in Fayette County, Il My oldest daughter married Rusty Wright the son of James Leo and Glapha Dunaway Wright of Wright's Corner, Loudon Twp., Fayette County. My daughter passed away 6 1/2 years ago and I am trying ot help my granddaughter with her Wright side of the Family for a class she is taking in school this coming year. I was wondering if you were related to any of the Wright's from that area and if you could tell me where the best place to look for the info on them would be. 1. [ILFAYETT-L] Wright Families
    2. Tim Casey
    3. If I may I would suggest you going to Montgomery Co IL website and look down the page and there is Wright information, when searching some of the families start in Bond, then Montgomery, Shelby and then Fayette as they and others such as the Hills, Casey's and Praters all moved close to each other. The Fayette Co Genealogy has a few notes on the early settlers of Fayette Co IL and they talk of the Wright Family. My gggg grndfathers Henry Truman Hill and Easton Whitten helped start the Little Hurricane Church when they came to IL in 1820's and the rev. was a Wright. Some of the families date back pre revolution period in Maryland. ----- Original Message ----- From: "tim" <grvtrain@twrol.com> To: <ILFAYETT-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, July 22, 2000 7:54 PM Subject: [ILFAYETT-L] Re: [ILROUTE66] WRIGHT > Sandy, > I would neerd to know some more names and some aproximate dates. > I am 61 so the WRIGHT's I went to school west of Vandalia in Shafter Twp > Fayette Co, IL Jim, Larry and Kay with would be my 50 to over 60 years old > now. 3. I am looking for Lucy or Lucinda WRIGHT who married a Nathan HURT in KY. There first child was born in 1839 so I assume they married around then. It is possible Nathan had a previous wife and married Lucy somewhere along the way. Does anyone out there know of her, or any HURT in Fayette, Clinton, Marion Co.? > If I may I would suggest you going to Montgomery Co IL website and look down > the page and there is Wright information, when searching some of the > families start in Bond, then Montgomery, Shelby and then Fayette as they and > others such as the Hills, Casey's and Praters all moved close to each other. > The Fayette Co Genealogy has a few notes on the early settlers of Fayette Co > IL and they talk of the Wright Family.
