The pension record for Ephriam Southers say that Needham Burkett and his family were in Lawrence County MO. about 4 miles west of Pierce City, MO from 1854to 1864. They moved back to Illinois. Needham and Annis's son John Martin Burkett born 1841, moved onto Poplar Bluff Mo about 1882from Marion County, IL. with his wife Mary Elizabeth Wilton Burkett, and children William, Mary Annis (Mollie) and John F.
