Looking for information on the ancestors and siblings of my gg-grandfather John Smith b.2/27/1854 in Hurricane Twp, Fayette, IL. His parents are Michael Smith and Lucy Yarbrough. Michael Smith's parents were John Smith (d. 1862 in Fayette Co) and Elizabeth Daniel (d. 1864 in Fayette Co). John Smith married Martha Ann Browning 11/18/1875 in Fayette Co. Ken, It's a long shot but I had a great aunt Hulda LEONARD b.17 Aug. 1864, m. John SMITH in the 1900s they had a child John " Babe" SMITH m. ? and had one daughter (still living, where about unk.) My decd mother gave me the info that the dau was still alive about the late 1980s. The dau should be in her middle to late 70s or early 80s. I'm sure that I can find more info in Vandalia, next time I'm there to do some research. Does any of this sound familiar?
