Barb, if you go to the Vandalia City Hall office, located on 5th Street next to the Evans Library, they maintain both the Sexton Records for the cemetery, as well as have information to provide, assisting you in locating the sections and lots. You will also find the "catalog" of the the two cemeteries in Fayette Facts published in Vols 5 and 6 (1975 and 1976 time frame)... those back issues of the FCGS Quarterlies are also maintained in the family history section in the Evans Library. For any confusion with the names of the cemetery... both South Hill and Fairlawn are together... South Hill is the older part... Could someone please send me the URl for how to find recent obits in Illinois? I just went to visit an Aunt in the nursing home in Taylorville, IL and they informed me that she had passed away 2 weeks ago. They did tell me that her obit was in the paper so I would like to get a copy. Thanks in advance Sandy
