Angela, Try the Illinois State Archive Databases there is one for the Civil War as well as several other Wars. they have marriage index, Land records, Servitude & Emancipation indexes. I have put the full name in the database and have come up with zero results so Then I would try just the surname and then alot would show up. As a matter of fact the Illinois State Archives just started several new databases.
