Wanda, and others that may want to join this list, and don't know how. Follow these directions, and you can get the job done. Send a message to IL-CENTRAL-L-request@rootsweb.com (just copy/paste that address into your To: line of your e-mail In the subject line you can put nothing, but if your mail program insists you do something there you can put the word subscribe In the body of your message put the single word SUBSCRIBE (just that word, nothing else). You need to be sure any signature file is 'off'. You do NOT sign the message at all, you do not need to tell it what your name or e-mail addy is....the program is set up so it will take the address from your message header. You will get a notice that your subscribe command has been accepted, and you may begin posting to it, or getting the messages. Now, if you find the L mode is too much, then simply send the UNSUBSCRIBE command in the same manner you did here for the L list. If you wish the Digest mode, just send your message again to IL-CENTRAL-D-request@rootsweb.com following the same steps as you did in the L request. Holler if you have any problems.
