    2. Hi Jeff, Just writing to ask if you have a Rosa Radcliff anywhere in your data, She was age 17 yrs. in 1900 Fayette Co.ILL. and married to Daniel V.Benefiel. There are 2 other girls listed with them, age 15 and 12. These were the stepchildren of Rosa Radcliff. After the husb. died in 1917 she left and I have not been able to find where her and the other children belonging to her and Daniel Benefiel (d)went. If you have her in your family,I would appreciate any info. Kind Regards, Janet

Radcliff had been conversing with Rachel Beach and upon the oath of Sarah Radcliff, wife of the deceased, told that Beach had ever told Radcliff he was a friend to him. 3. I am currently working on an extensive list and correct cemeteries listed by townships and alphabetically. This is also going to include previous alias names. I haven't got it up yet. I am still working on it. I am also linking Tombstone cemetery albums for each cemetery with a photo of the grave and inspcriptions that are submitted by Fayette County researchers. This is a massive project. So far I have a Wech Cemetery SW SE 17 8N 2E 3 Carson township and it is still active. I do not have driving directions. I hope someone can help you with that. 3. Hopefully the subject description caught your attention. I need some detective help. I am doing some research on the murders of Harvey Radcliff (1858) and Thomas Pickens (1861) both of which occured in Fayette Co. I noted in an old Fayette Facts (1988 Vol. 2) a listing of early coroner's inquests which included summary's of these two murders. The information leading into the summary's for the inquests said that this information is in the Fayette County Circuit Clerk's Office but upon contacting that office they indicated to me that they have no such records. Obviously someone from the society transcribed or summarized these records from somewhere and I was hoping that some one might have an amazing memory and could tell me where to locate these lost records. I tried obvious places such as the Fayette Co. Coroner's Office and the County Clerk's Office also to no avail. Any help would be most appreciated. Jeff Radcliffe

    3. Hi. I just found the Denning connection a couple of weeks ago. A search of the Illinois marriage database turned up the following information that may be your three Denning sons and possibly a daughter; one of the sons (Job or Jobe) appears to have married three times in a 9-year period of time: Job Denning married Margaret Jans Lawson, 10 Oct 1880, Vol A, p. 60 Jobe Denning married Maria Ann Radcliff, 29 Sept 1885, Vol A, p 156 Job Denning married Jane Wickersham, 4 July 1889, Vol A, p. 226 Joseph Denning married Mary Ellen Fletcher, 5 Mar 1883, Vol A, p 114 Louis Denning married Hannah Townsend, 22 Jan 1888, Vol A, p 201 Tabitha Denning married James Metcalf, 25 Oct 1891, Vol A, p 272 Hopefully, my Henrietta Denning belongs to one of these three men. I didn't find any Sweetland marriages in or near Fayette County but I did find several Swetland marriages in Fayette and Montgomery Counties: Fayette County Alfred Swetland married Margaret Smith, 18 Sept 1853, Vol A, p 0047 Alva Swetland married Emma Hermann or Herrmann, 24 Dec 1897, Vol B, p 82 Henry C Swetland married Nancy Davis, 15 Apr 1869, Vol A, p 115 Henry W Swetland married Mary Haney, 2 Sept 1877, Vol b, p 0017 Delilah Swetland married Thomas Friend, 17 Sept 1887, Vol A, p 194 Harriet Swetland married Andrew Ritter, 28 Nov 1867, Vol A, p 107 Montgomery County Charles Swetland married Louisa P Luther, 23 Nov 1865, Lic # 2988 Lillie Swetland married James A Bryan, 21 Mar 1882, Vol A, p 81, license #6994 Rosa Swetland married Pinckney Pore, 29 Jul 1886, Vol A, p 128, license #8033 Regards Cheryl Helm, Ohio TaftWanda@aol.com wrote: > Hi The name Denning caught my eye. 3. Tim Casey, Thank you for your time. I see that I had sent James and Nancy's birth and death dates, but must have forgotten to send their marriage date, sorry. I found their marriage of 11 February 1797 in a Wilkes Co, North Carolina of marriage record book a number of years ago. If you look below or at the site you found this again you will notice that I had put Nancy BRADLEY (born) b.19 May 1769. James WALKER was in Burke Co, NC on 1810 Census. James was in Bond Co, IL by 1821. They both died in Montgomery Co, IL. I have been trying to find other WALKER descendants to compare notes on the line. I have tried to sort out my WALKERs for a long time. I welcome any e-mails from other WALKER descendants. They are quite a large puzzle. I was told one time James WALKER came from near Norfolk, but I haven't found him there yet. No one seems to know where they were born. The death date of her tombstone when read by descendants, showed Nancy to have been that old. I don't know if the stone is still standing. Doris ELAM of the Fayette Co. Genealogy Society would probably know about the tombstone dates. She and her husband Lyle ELAM of Vandalia, IL have been reading the areas tombstones, for a cemetery book for the genealogy society to publish. They are both distant cousins of my dad Clarence HIMES, on his mother Morna Evalene (BESS) HIMES 's side. The James WALKER line was my paternal grandmother Morna's ancestors. My ancestry is in the HIMES line link of our homepage. http://members.truepath.com/beverly/index.html I have always thought some of her younger children might have been grandchildren.
