    3. Sandy, There once was a town by the name of Moccasin, it now is just a group of houses and a fertilizer company. Two railroads cross at the site. It is located in Moccasin Twp. Effingham Co. There is a Moccasin cemetery just west of the town site.Pleasant Grove Cemetery is located just west of the Moccasin cemetery. St. Paul's Lutheran Church also has a cemetery. There is also a Dowty private burial ground and a site where a Gypsy was buried. I believe you could get information for any church cemetery that had an active church. Just write to the church and tell them you are researching your family and need some information. I have always found them to be cooperative.Sometimes if a church disbands another of the same denomination will take over the records. Effingham Co. records for the two cemeteries in Moccasin Twp. does not list anyone by the name of EVERLEN Good luck, Audrey Garbe ---------- > From: [email protected] > To: [email protected] > Subject: [ILEFFING-L] Moccasin Illinois - Everlen's > Date: Tuesday, November 30, 1999 5:23 AM > > Dear Listers: > I am in search of information from Moccasin, Illinois.
