If you think there is a probability that I didn't receive the surnames/query you submitted, please send a duplicate to me "in the clear" at [email protected] Yes, multiple entries do confuse me and slow me down.....because I have so many to go through I can't remember if I've seen them before or not. Also, because queries become outdated or the information has changed on them, and the submitter wants me to go back in and change information from 2 years ago, I've come up with this idea.......what do you think of it? It would sure speed things up for me. IDEA: I will post all queries as they are submitted (with some editing for English, grammar and spelling). After a year, they will be removed. So if you submitted a query over a year ago, you could expect it to "expire" in a year...that way you could resubmit it with updated information, correct e-mail address (these are a bugger, folks), or whatever. Important: A surname would never be removed from the surname page unless it is requested. This applies only to queries. If this idea flies, I will post that information to the query page with an effective date to give everyone time to adjust. I would also post it to this list. This is a very unusal way of doing things, I agree, and this would be a pilot program. If it worked, I would do the same for Jasper County. I know several other county coordinators are interested in this concept, too. What do y'all think????? Comments (both pro and con) are welcome, and I'd appreciate them asap. I have two 3-day weekends coming up in November and would like to get this all done before I head for Effingham County for 2 weeks in December to visit with my family and hopefully do some personal research. Yes, Linda does try to have a personal life, too......... <grin> Linda (the listmom and the county coordinator for Effingham County ILGenWeb)
