In case anyone is interested here is the obituary of Anton 'Tony' Koester. He was married to my Great-Aunt, Louise Catharina 'Kathyrn' Repking. Obituary: Effingham April 1, 1935 Father and Son Die A Few Days Apart Anthony Koester, Sr, 69 years of age and Anthony Koester, Jr, 27 years of age, father and son, of north of Effingham, died within a few days of each other last week. Anthony, Jr, died Thursday afternoon, March 28, at St Anthony's Hospital after a two weeks' illness with pneumonia, while his Father died Saturday about 12:30 pm with a complication of diseases and shock over his son's death on Thursday. The Koesters were the owners of the Koester Dairy at Effingham. Anthony, Jr, was employed as a truck driver for the plant. They are survived by their wife and Mother: Mrs.Anthony Koester; one son and one brother: Ralph at home and four daughters and sisters: Mrs.Wayne Eyers of Chicago; Miss Katherine at home; Mrs.Ben Meyers and Mrs.Wm Huelsebusch of Effingham. A large number of other relatives and friends survive. Double funeral services were held Monday morning at St Anthony's Church at Effingham with burial taking place in St Anthony Cemetery. ------------- Condensory pays out thousands of dollars for milk.
