Audrey is too modest. The Genealogical Society has an AWESOME department at the Helen Matthes Library......and the members who staff the department are just the best there are. There are films, and readers, too........... I spend hours and hours there every trip home. And every time I find more and more. For those of you planning on doing on-site research, I really recommend joining the society. The quarterlies are the best I've ever seen...........the information about joining is on the Effingham County website under "Reference Lookups".
