My great-grandfather, John D. Wilkens, came to Effingham from Germany around 1857. He married Anna Catherine Brand on May 10, 1865 in Effingham. They had two children, John Albert Wilkens and Elizabeth Wilkens. Anna then died. She may be buried in Teutopolis but unsure. Also, John D. came from Germany with his mother, Anna Knaba Wilkens and at least one sister, unsure of her name. Looking for any information on his mother and sister. Also, Anna Brand Wilkens, his wife, may be buried in Effingham. Can you possibly check your cemetery records? Thank you.
