    3. Dear Linda and List Members: Thank you so much for your kind introduction to "my" webpage about Effingham County history. I have had so many emails coming in that I thought I would share some answers to questions with list members. I am a fourth generation Effingham County resident. My parents still live on the family farm and my farm adjoins theirs to the South. My wife's family came to Effingham County in 1839 and their family farm is only 2 miles from ours. Much of the material I use, very little of it published, comes from their and my families collection. I was/am the senior history teacher at Beecher City Unit 20, untill this January when I resumed the Technology Coordinator duties for my district. The idea for this project stemmed from a joint meeting of the Effingham County History teachers meeting held in the Spring of 1999. While the project is still in the development stage I forged ahead on my own. I look forward to moving this archieve to the Klute Server housed at Effingham High School just for this purpose. Hopefully, my colloughes will be joining in on this project and I hope that any of the good folk on this list will join in as well. As to problems with the links try start at the index first http://www.effingham.net/kperkins this will stop the blank pages. Sincerely, Kevin E.
