There are 7 of us that are collecting postcards of Effingham County, IL. The towns that postcards are needed are: Effingham Teutopolis Montrose Dieterich Elliotstown Watson Mason Funkhouse Keptown Altamont Shumway Beecher City What we are planning is to put together a Postcard book with history of what each postcard picture is. Our goal is to have it all completed by the fall of 2001as it takes time to research some of the old cards and we want them correct. We already have several on Altamont, Effingham and about 20 of Mason but 1 or 2 of the other towns. Some we do not have any of. We do need them before the 26th of this month. As that is when we will select the cards to be published. So look and see if you might have any that you might want to see published about our county, Effingham.
