    3. Our relative, Dr. George Halleck Ingram lived, practiced medicine, joined the Civil War and married 4 times in and around Effingham Co., Il. He is buried in the Freemanton Cemetery. I am interested in the children of his 3rd marriage children. My husband's grandfather, James Henry Ingram b: 17 MAR 1864 in Effingham, Il. was Dr. George's son. James married Margaret "Maggie" Chezem on 16 JUNE 1877. James brother Halleck married Charlotte "Lottie" Bracken one month later on 13 JUL 1887. James and Margaret's marriage licence was signed "John C. Bird - a Minister of the Gospel in the M.E. Church". M.E. stands for Methodist Episcopal - which I believe is a Protestant church. My question to the list is: Where can I find the church records for this family? Sure would like to know more about Dr. George's background and perhaps this will be my clue. Thanks in advance for any help. Dianne Ingram in Oregon __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
