    3. Dear Brumleve researchers: I have recently completed reading a book by Dorothy A. Brumleve. The books name is "A Family Abroad, Aloysisus Brumleve of Lengerich and his Brothers". I understand it is available to check out at the Effingham Library, as well as the Champaign IL Free Library. My connection to the family is through marriage, thus Aloysius and his offspring are cousins. I wish to comment on how well laid-out this book is. It is well documented, and easy to understand. Mrs. Brumleve spent the time to make this a readable book, unlike some genealogy books that just have lists of families with little paragraphed information. She has included stories and pictures, as well as charts and maps. I understand she traveled to Germany a number of times to research the book. If you are a Brumleve descendant, you will most certainly benefit your research by obtaining a copy of this book. I enjoyed reading it, even knowing I would not find any of my ancestors. I hope this information helps some Brumleve descendants who may be floundering around for accurate information.
