Sande: Yes, I have looked on the index and found the Nettie Hensley married to William McClelland. I use the index all the time, too. My Nettie would have been only 4 at the time this Nettie married Mr. McClelland. It is possible for my Nettie to have been named after the older Nettie, however I have not found a connection. John Starling Hensley was born Dec. 25, 1870 in Effingham County (I have his obit) Mattie Mae was born May 5, 1873 in Effingham County(I have her obit) Hattie Elizabeth was born November 28, 1876 in Effingham County(I think I have her obit). I can only guess that Nettie married after 1900. I think I got Nettie's married name from John Starlings Obit, but perhaps William L. Hensley's. John Starling Hensley died in 1932. His father, William L. Hensley, died in 1934, both in Effingham County. Mattie Mae Hensley Renfrow died in 1909 of childbed fever after the birth of Dorothy. Hattie died in 1965 and is buried in Gays, Illinois. Her husband, Charles Hooten, is buried in Paxton, Illinois. Thank you, I'll keep looking.
